Our Malaysia team recently took a meaningful step towards social responsibility with a visit to the Shan Ai Handicapped Welfare Home in Bandar Mahkota Cheras, Selangor. This initiative, driven by our dedicated employees, provided a helping hand to the 17 elderly and handicapped residents at the home.
Established in 2017, the Shan Ai Home relies on the kindness of the community to operate. It provides a safe haven for those experiencing physical limitations and needing extra care. Our visit brought not only essential supplies but also a sense of connection.
During the visit, 20 of our Malaysia team’s employees interacted with the residents, sharing breakfast and engaging in conversations, which fostered a sense of community and highlighted the importance of social connection for the residents’ well-being. We actively participated in cleaning the home’s compound, ensuring a fresh and healthy environment for the residents. Additionally, we provided essential supplies, including food, cleaning tools, and medical items, contributing to the overall well-being of the residents.
Financial support was also a fundamental component of our corporate social responsibility activity. Through monetary donations, we collectively aim to alleviate the financial burden faced by the Shan Ai home. These funds will contribute towards meals, utility bills, rent, transportation, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Initiatives such as this strengthen our commitment to corporate social responsibility, fostering a culture of giving back and making a positive impact on society. Not only do we fulfil our mission of serving underprivileged communities, but we also engage in meaningful work.
