In a world often defined by what we see, the unseen struggles of those without sight can easily be overlooked. Our team in Thailand ensured that these lives are filled with opportunities, hope, and a sense of belonging. We partnered with the Thammikason Foundation for the Blind, opening a new chapter of compassion and support by bringing essential learning resources and rehabilitation activities to the Ramindra Home for Blind Children.
The Thammikason Foundation, under the royal patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, has been a beacon of hope since 1986. Officially transformed into the Ramindra Home for Blind Children in 2009, it has provided care and rehabilitation for visually impaired children, creating opportunities for them to find their place in society.
We took the time to listen, to truly understand the daily challenges these children face – challenges that go beyond their visual impairments and extend into a lack of resources that hinder their participation in society. By immersing ourselves in their world, we could see the profound impact of their disability, not just on their education but on their entire lives.
Our team provided essential supplies, shared meals, and worked alongside teachers and parents to create enriching learning experiences. But more than just offering material support, we aimed to nurture their spirits and build their confidence.
Many of these children continue their education at Lopburi School for the Blind and Blind with Multiple Disabilities, while others receive vocational training at the Promotion and Development Center for the Blind with Multiple Disabilities.
At EBC, our vision is a world where every child has the right to pursue their dreams, regardless of the obstacles they face. We believe every child deserves the chance to reach their full potential, and we’re dedicated to making that a reality.
